Why Your Neighborhood Matters for Paint

The age of a home changes what a repaint needs. A house that still has its original paint and caulk needs different prep than one that was repainted five years ago.

Cypress communities were built in waves. According to a 2026 Cypress 77433 buyer guide, Fairfield was built mostly from 1988 through the early 2000s. Coles Crossing was developed mainly between 1998 and 2008. Bridgeland home sales began in 2006, according to community records, and parts of it are still being built today.

So a Fairfield home may be on its second or third exterior paint job. An early Bridgeland home may be ready for its first. We check caulk, wood trim and any peeling before we price the work.

Our Weather Is Hard on Paint

Houston's July normal high is 94.5°F and the area averages 51.84 inches of rain a year, per National Weather Service Houston climate normals. Strong sun fades color and heat and moisture break down caulk. Good prep and the right exterior paint matter more here than in milder climates.

HOA Rules Come First

Most master-planned communities in Cypress have a homeowners or property owners association. The same buyer guide lists association fees for Bridgeland, Towne Lake, Coles Crossing and Fairfield. Exterior color changes usually need approval before work starts.

Tell us early if you are changing colors. We can give you the exact paint names and color codes, so your request is easy to submit. Repainting in the same color is often simpler, but check your own guidelines.

Neighborhood Guides

Bridgeland

A Howard Hughes master-planned community of about 11,500 acres between US 290 and I-10, with roughly 3,000 acres of open space and lakes.

Painting in Bridgeland

Towne Lake

Built around a 300-acre private lake in ZIP 77433, per HAR.com.

Fairfield

Built mostly from 1988 through the early 2000s, with mature live oaks and magnolias. Shade and older trim are both things we plan for.

Coles Crossing

Developed mainly between 1998 and 2008, with community lakes and trails.

We also paint in Blackhorse Ranch, Stonegate, Longwood, Cypress Creek Lakes and Pine Mill Ranch. Guides for those communities are on the way.

What We Paint

Inside, we handle interior painting from single rooms to whole homes, plus cabinet painting. Outside, we do exterior house painting, fence painting and staining and deck staining.

Most exteriors start with a good wash. Our pressure washing service clears dirt and mildew so paint can bond. Older homes may also need drywall repair before new color goes on.

Homes built before 1978 may have lead-based paint. The EPA lead-safe work rules apply when that paint is disturbed. Most homes in these communities are newer than that, but we always ask.

Who You Are Hiring

Cypress Supreme Painting is family owned and veteran owned. We have over 30 years of experience in Cypress and northwest Houston. One crew handles the job from prep to final coat, and we walk it with you when we finish. Read more about our company.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you paint homes in my Cypress neighborhood?

Yes. We work across Cypress and nearby Tomball, Katy, Spring and Houston. That includes Bridgeland, Towne Lake, Fairfield, Coles Crossing, Blackhorse Ranch, Stonegate, Longwood, Cypress Creek Lakes and Pine Mill Ranch.

Do I need HOA approval before I repaint?

Often, yes, for exterior color changes. Most Cypress master-planned communities have an association with its own rules. Check your guidelines first. We can give you the exact paint names and color codes for your request.

Is lead paint a concern in Cypress neighborhoods?

Federal lead-safe rules cover homes built before 1978. Most homes in the communities on this page were built well after that. If yours is older, we talk it through before any sanding or scraping.
